Women's Hospital Auxiliary Donates $16,000 For A New Defibrillator

Today, Drumheller is $16,000 closer to a new Cardiac Defibrillator unit thanks to the ongoing efforts of our Drumheller Women's Hospital Auxiliary.  When asked how they were able to earn so much for this cause, I was told that it is mainly from the sales of hand-crafted items sold at the hospital.  I'm sure anyone who's been to the Drumheller Health Centre has seen the cabinet filled with knitted and quilted items outside the Cafeteria.  These amazing women donate time and materials to make this possible.

The Drumheller Ladies Hospital Auxiliary have approximately 10 active members and have raise funds through the sale of hand crafted baby items, vendor machines and memorial donations.  Hand crafted, knitted and crocheted baby items are available for sale at the Drumheller Health Centre Baby Cupboard located at the facility cafeteria entrance.   The Drumheller Ladies Hospital Auxiliary has earned and donated more than $100,000.00 since its inception almost 50 years ago.

With the holiday season coming, think about purchasing gifts from the Auxiliary's cabinet.  Drop by Site Administration and Kathy Dudley will be happy to assist you with your purchases.  Another great way to make healthcare better in the Drumheller area!
